Handelsbanken, with its 49 departments and around 750 staff, wanted to replace their own Excel spreadsheets with a central system for registering IT equipment. The bank’s IT department registers all its users and the type of equipment they have, where in the bank and in which of the 49 departments they are located, as well as the equipment’s expected lifespan. Now 2–3 people use the system, and Elisabeth Røraas is the administrator. She works in the IT department and is responsible for user administration, internal accounts and the PC register.
