House of Control strengthens AI innovation with three key hires
We are happy to share that we are expanding our R&D team with three new experts: Vegard Olsen as Head of Engineering, Oliver Sogn as Head of AI, and Kristian Kvalsvik as AI Developer. They bring the skills we need to further develop AI-driven solutions that provide real value for our customers.
Driving innovation forward
Technology is changing fast, and House of Control is dedicated to actively shaping the future through intelligent software. Our research project, supported by government R&D funding, focuses on using AI to improve our contract, vendor and compliance solutions.
"We are proud to welcome Vegard, Oliver and Kristian to House of Control," says Julie Groth Grønlund, CEO of House of Control.
"Their expertise is an excellent fit for our future strategy, where we are committed to leading the market in AI-driven vendor and compliance solutions. By bringing them on board, we are sharpening our ability to deliver the insights and high-quality tools our customers need."
Meet our new team members
We are currently working on making 'living' solutions that can alert you to risks and handle compliance tasks automatically.
This is exactly why we’ve brought in solid AI and tech competence that complement our existing team:
- Vegard Olsen, Head of Engineering, brings 24 years of experience from Banqsoft in software development, product management, and enterprise architecture. He has played a key role in building and scaling solutions for the Nordic banking and asset finance sector. He has worked closely with clients and management to transform ideas into robust, production-ready products.
- Oliver Sogn, Head of AI, joins us after four years at Visma Software Nordic. He was project manager for the GAiA Assistant, delivering an AI support system that handled more than 90% of customer inquiries. He also led AI integration into Salesforce to sort and resolve customer cases faster and more efficiently. These initiatives freed up capacity across product operations.
- Kristian Kvalsvik, AI Developer, is an AI developer who’s especially passionate about Generative AI. Over the past years, he has helped firms turn AI ambitions into production-ready solutions. Outside of work, he continues developing LLM agents independently to push what’s possible in practice.
Hallvard Olaisen, R&D Director at House of Control, emphasizes that their ability to solve problems and challenge routines was a key factor:
"We need people who aren't afraid to take on complex tasks and challenge how we work. Oliver, Vegard, and Kristian clearly see that while AI makes us faster, we remain responsible for the final quality. Finding people who fit so well both professionally and socially is a fantastic addition to our team."
What this means for our customers
For those using our platforms, this investment in people means even more future ready, intelligent, robust and user-friendly tools.
By further expanding our technical expertise, we can ensure that:
- We turn manual, time-consuming tasks into automated processes.
- Our systems remain secure and compliant with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.
- The transition to AI-supported features feels intuitive and reliable.
The team is already fully engaged in development, and we are looking forward to launching the first results of this work in the first half of 2026.
Welcome to the House of Control, Oliver, Vegard, and Kristian!
